Remembering James Ola-Yemi Olayinka…

Earlier this week we organised the amazing farewell for James’ family and friends.

Blackhall Mill Community Centre was chosen as the venue for the service, as it was local to them and has special memories for the family.

The day started with guests writing memory tags and tying them to James’ beautiful wicker coffin, which had his private number plates on either end!

This was followed by a lovely service with memories, music and a slide show.

Then there was a short journey to our natural burial ground Seven Penny Meadow where all of James’ friends and family got to spend some time saying their final farewells before the burial.

Afterwards, everyone returned to the community centre for light refreshments. It was a day to remember, and we were proud to be part of it. Rest in peace James!
